Brighton are in talks to sign Neal Maupay from Brentford.
Several Premier League clubs were interested in signing Maupay, but they were put off by Brentford's valuation of the forward.
However, The Argus suggests that talks are taking place between Brentford and Brighton with a view to closing a deal.
Any transfer must be done by Thursday, as it is the last day of the Premier League and Championship transfer window.
L'Equipe in France also indicates that Maupay will sign a four-year deal with Brighton in the coming days.
