Everton fullback Lucas Digne says they were pleased with victory over AS Monaco.
Digne says victory over Monaco was a rewarding way for Everton to finish their intense nine-day training camp in Switzerland after Seamus Coleman's goal proved enough to beat the Ligue 1 side.
"It was a good game, a tough game after the hard week and the score was good for us," Digne told evertonfc.com.
"It was important for us to finish this week with the victory because we trained very hard and it's a bonus.
"We had two sessions every day and we were tired today but we fight in every game for the blue jersey and that is the most important thing.
"When we can win like this after all the hard work, it's the best way."
