Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has sympathy for Watford.

Klopp insisted after his side's win over Chelsea that he hadn't lost any sleep over Manchester City's 8-0 thrashing of Watford.

"For Watford it was a tough day," said Klopp.

"If it can happen against any team in the world it will be City.

"We had a similar situation when we lost there I think 5-0 [in 2017 when Sadio Mane was sent off]. If you have 10 men the worst place in the world is Manchester City but [Saturday night] I slept pretty well."

Klopp said of City: "I have said it before, I really think they are the best team in the world.

"I don't want to put pressure on Pep Guardiola but they are brilliant in moments. We are not bad as well, so that's how it is."
