Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggests that he will play his best team against AC Milan in a friendly in August.
United start pre-season training during the first week of July, but Solskjaer is expected to rotate players in the early friendlies.
Many of his players had international commitments, which means they will have an extended break.
But the Norwegian feels the game against Milan in Cardiff on August 2nd is the ideal moment to play his best team.
"We're getting close to the league then and playing against AC Milan in Cardiff is a great chance for us to put the full team out to test ourselves just before the league starts," he told the organisers of the International Champions Cup.
"We're going to have to play our top team because we want to get into the league knowing each other and having some relationships built, so it will probably look like who will start in the first league game, maybe one or two changes."
