Liverpool's deal with Nike is worth a THIRD LESS than what New Balance are paying for their partnership, it has been revealed.

The Times says Liverpool have struck a 30 million per year kit deal with Nike - an agreement that is worth 15m less than their current New Balance contract.

The Reds are currently embroiled in a court battle with New Balance, who say their contract allows them to match any offer from another kit supplier.

New Balance currently pay Liverpool 45m per year to be the club's official kit supplier and say they have matched Nike's terms.

Liverpool's agreement with Nike is also substantially lower than the deals Chelsea and Tottenham have negotiated with the brand, which are believed to be over 50m.

Nike are also paying Paris Saint-Germain 71m per year but the Reds are confident they have a deal in place that offers them more long term value than their current deal.

Liverpool's deal with Nike features the opportunity to market the club through no less than three 'non-football global superstar athletes and influencers of the calibre of' Serena Williams, Drake and LeBron James.
