Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook admits that his mind is already straying towards a possible recall to the English national team.

Cook returned from a long term injury and impressed for the Cherries this month.

He started against Everton and came off the bench against Southampton.

And Cook admits that he is hopeful that he can get back into England manager Gareth Southgate's thinking.

He told the Daily Echo: "No. I'm just focusing on myself now trying to get a few games. I'm feeling better and better each game. I can't put too much pressure on myself after being out for such a long time.

"I spent a long time in the (England) youth teams and got that time when I played for the first team. I got that taste then and really enjoyed it.

"Obviously that's in my mind, but I can't be focused on that at the moment, I've just got to focus on my club and just enjoy my football."
