Everton boss Marco Silva has called for a stronger mentality after defeat to Sheffield United.

A Yerry Mina own goal and a late Lys Mousset strike condemned Everton to defeat at Goodison Park.

Everton were looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.

Silva said, Coming from a bad result is no reason for that.

Like I said we've had six wins in a row at home, in the last seven months we didn't lose at home.

It's difficult for me to find reasons why we'd be so nervous for 60 minutes because we made a mistake.

In the next game we have to show the strong personality to change and do the normal things. We must create more chances to change the result for us."

Silva believes one moment in the build up to the first goal made a key change to proceedings.

The mistake we made for the first goal had a big impact on the game," the manager remarked.

We were creating chances, doing good things, commanding the game like is normal but after that the game changed completely.

We didn't handle the normal pressure, we didn't have the right mobility on the pitch or the strong personality we have to show."
