Liverpool centre-half Virgil van Dijk has defended his style of play.
Dutch great Wim van Hanegem has encouraged Van Dijk work out his "laconic" style of play.
But the defender told AD: "I also think that I can still improve.
"I don't want to say that it is necessarily laconic, as Van Hanegem calls it. I can still move forward on all points of a central defender. But we all have that.
"I told Matthijs de Ligt after his start at Juventus that he should not listen to the media. They write what people want to read."
