Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo says he was one stop away from joining Arsenal.
The Gunners were pursuing the then-Sporting Lisbon whizkid before he decided to join Manchester United.
Former boss Arsene Wenger has spoken publicly of his attempts to sign Ronaldo, which the Portuguese has now confirmed.
When asked if he almost signed for Arsenal, Ronaldo told Piers Morgan on ITV: "It's true.
"Very close. One stop, incredible. Seriously."
