Maty Ryan believes that Brighton were a little naive in their Premier League defeat to Leicester City.

The Albion were impressive for several parts of their home clash against Brendan Rodgers' high flying team.

But they were undone by a counter attacking goal from Ayoze Perez in the 62nd minute, which meant they had to push for an equaliser and leave themselves more vulnerable to other attacks.

Leicester settled the game with a Jamie Vardy penalty in the 82nd minute to claim all three points.

Speaking to reporters afterward, Ryan said: "We are disappointed being at home dropping points and the manner in which it happened.

"We started to get a foothold in the game in the second half and it is naivety.

"We had a warning just before they scored from a similar pattern.

"We had a corner and they came away on the counter-attack and we managed to stop it on that occasion.

"I don't know how long after that it was that they scored.

"A couple of times then again after that they could have scored.

"It is that sort naivety that puts you behind the eight ball."
