Alaves wing-back Aleix Vidal insists his gesture during defeat to Real Madrid was not aimed at the support.
However, Vidal refused to deny he was mocking Real captain Sergio Ramos.
He appeared to direct an offensive arm gesture towards Sergio Ramos in celebration following Lucas Perez's equaliser for the hosts.
"[It wasn't directed] at the stands, no. They're supporting us a lot," Vidal said afterwards.
"I did it unconsciously because of the emotion of scoring.
"It had no intention. [Directing it towards] Ramos? Let him complain."
