Arsenal youngster Stan Flaherty had trials at Newcastle United this month.
The 17-year-old was one of nine scholars named on the Gunners' Premier League retained list last summer but has struggled for game time this season.
Flaherty had a trial at West Ham last month before the Magpies took a look at the youngster.

Wearing the No.10 shirt, Flaherty played in Newcastle under-18s' 3-0 defeat against Liverpool at the Kirkby Academy.
