Former Arsenal and AC Milan defender Philippe Senderos has returned home to Switzerland.
Senderos has signed for FC Chiasso.
He told TMW: "I wanted to keep playing, I was looking for a new challenge for a long time.
"I talked to the manager, with the staff, I thought this was a place to work well. I had other opportunities outside Switzerland, but they didn't do it for me, I didn't have the right motivations.
"Here I want to take advantage of every moment, win as many games as possible, have fun. Here I am the oldest, I can help young people, maybe do a bit of a go-between between coach and team and help to improve them."
