Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot was impressed by Fikayo Tomori in defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Liverpool won the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
However, Melchiot wanted to highlight how well he thought Tomori played.
I want to highlight Tomori," Melchiot said on talkSPORT.
I spent 90 minutes watching this young kid and the way he played against Salah was really impressive.
There were moments where I didn't even see Salah in the game, Tomori did really well against him.
There were a couple of races where Salah had the ball and it was one-on-one situation and I thought this might be trouble.
But he just managed to get the ball off him, hold possession and then carry on making sure the team could attack again.
I really enjoyed watching Tomori play in a game of that size and doing so well."
