Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno has urged fans to get behind Gareth Bale.
Bale was jeered throughout his performance in victory over Real Sociedad.
"We always say that, when a player wears this shirt, we have to be united and support our own," Real Madrid's director of international relations told Movistar.
"He played 30 magnificent minutes.
"He's a player with characteristics that help us a lot, as he finds space, he has a good shot and he brings goals.
"He was magnificent.
"Like [Zinedine Zidane] said, he's very important for us.
"He showed it today.
"He's going to help us because we have great challenges ahead."
