Carlos Suarez is confident Ronaldo is the right man in charge of Real Valladolid.
After 18 years with the club, Suarez has stepped down as honorary president.
He said, "I will continue to be linked, but you won't have to put up with me every day, I think that at the time I made the right decision, the sale to Ronaldo has given us a leap in quality, in image, etc...
"For this period of transition we knew we had to stay up, in the month of June, we achieved it, then it was time to release them and let them fly."
On Ronaldo, Suarez added: "If he didn't want to suffer he'd have bought Manchester City, but the guy is a Phenomenon, nothing better said."
