Olympique Marseille coach Andre Villas-Boas has spoken of Jose Mourinho's move to Tottenham.

AVB is a former Spurs manager and worked with Mourinho as an assistant at Chelsea.

He said, "I am very happy for him, because a coach who has his career cannot spend eleven months without a club. There are some coaches, like me, who can choose to take a sabbatical year, but for Jos this is not the case.

"He comes back to a club that I know well with an owner that I know too, and it makes an unusual marriage. These are two very different characters and I do not think it will work very well.

"But hey, they came to an agreement and if there is a coach in the world who can win at Tottenham, it's him. He won in all the clubs where he went. His philosophy is contrary to that of Tottenham who paid dearly, because for Levy each person is an amount, and Mourinho is a high amount. I am happy for him and I hope he will enjoy it."
