Arsenal boss Unai Emery is fighting to save his job ahead of the resumption of the Premier League next weekend.
The Mirror says Emery has a month to save his job at Arsenal but there is a belief inside the club that sacking the Spaniard will still not solve the crisis at the Emirates.
Emery was given a vote of confidence by the Gunners' head of football Raul Sanllehi in the aftermath of a 2-0 defeat at Leicester last week, which saw them slump to sixth in the Premier League after a run of just two wins from 10 games.
But Emery's fate will be decided by the run of Premier League games, against struggling Southampton, Norwich, Brighton and West Ham as well as the visit of Manchester City on December 15.
One source said: The DNA that made Arsenal the club it was has slowly but surely drained away. Appointments have been made both before and after Wenger's departure that either didn't work out or aren't working out.
Long-serving members of staff have been shocked by what's happening to the club."
