French great Bernard Lama has urged Alphonse Areola to grab his chance at Real Madrid.
Lama has urged the stopper to impose himself more if he is to fulfill what he believes is his enormous potential.
"I know him very well, he has everything to be a top goalkeeper," Lama explained in an interview with MARCA, "he has enormous athletic and technical potential, but I've told him he needs to impose himself more
"It remains to be seen whether or not he can pass that psychological barrier to have consistency that the PSG policy hasn't helped in recent years.
"They didn't trust him completely, but he did have matches to win the starting job and he didn't succeed, I hope he gets that chance in Madrid and I hope that Zidane's presence helps him in that endeavour, but it mostly depends on him."
