Everton boss Marco Silva insists Tom Davies is in his plans.
The Under-21 international impressed in England's 2-0 win over the Kosovans in Hull on Monday.
Davies has struggled to get game time this season but Silva will not let him lose faith.
"The Tom I saw last season - playing in our starting XI, being captain - I have to tell you I see the same boy now," said Silva.
"Yes, he is sad. That is normal. He is not playing. It is up to me to work him hard, to keep him in the right way. I have told him he needs enough patience."
