Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola blocked Raheem Sterling leaving for Arsenal, it has been revealed.
The Sun says Guardiola endeared himself to Sterling by refusing to entertain the possibility of the winger joining Arsenal.
A part-exchange deal involving Sterling and Alexis Sanchez was mooted just over two years ago when City were eyeing the-then Arsenal forward.
However, Guardiola kept hold of the England international and that seriously impressed Sterling.
There are few players closer to Guardiola than Sterling, who has become one of the planet's top stars under the Spaniard.
