Fulham are pushing Liverpool to pay 7 million for teenager Harvey Elliott with the matter set to be decided by tribunal.
Elliott , 16, moved to the Merseyside club in the summer after turning down an offer of a scholarship with the Cottagers.
After spending years in Fulham's academy, the club are now entitled to claim back a development fee for Elliott under the rules of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
Such a fee is determined on several variables, largely based on Elliott's potential, says the Mirror.
The youngster opted to sign for Liverpool despite interest from a host of other elite clubs, including Real Madrid and PSG, and made his first team debut for the Reds on Wednesday.
Now Fulham - who gave Elliott his professional debut aged 15 - are now insisting Liverpool stump up the 7 million figure for his services.
