United officials have assessed the playing surface at the Hongkou Stadium on four separate occasions since November, reports the London Evening Standard.
Groundsman Dave Lindop will check it once again before the match on Thursday.
United had their friendly against Manchester City in Beijing cancelled two years ago due to torrential rain.
The Red Devils have moved to avoid a similar situation this time around.
