Newcastle United newboy Allan Saint-Maximin is prepared to sit on the bench - for now.
The winger, who arrived this summer, was restricted to the substitute's bench during the 1-0 loss against Arsenal on the opening weekend of the season.
He knows that he will have to remain patient to get his chance in the team.
The Frenchman said to reporters after the game: "I need more time to show what I can do.
"But first I have to stay on the bench and come on and play a little bit. I have to work hard in training to be in the XI and do better things.
"When I came on the pitch, everybody was shouting. It was really good.
"They are amazing fans and I want to do everything for the fans. I want to score and I want to make assists."
