Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was forced off at half-time of their draw with Champions League opponents Club Brugge.
The goalkeeper felt ill with stomach problems, after being whistled at from Los Blancos' supporters following Brugge's second goal.
Brugge scored twice from three shots in the first half and when Courtois touched the ball, after conceding the second goal, the crowd jeered him twice.
Alphonse Areola replaced Courtois at the break and made a vital save to prevent Brugge from going 3-0 ahead, before Madrid went on to grab two goals with the final scoreline being 2-2.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane said, "Courtois is in a bad way and could not continue for the second half. He is the Real Madrid goalkeeper, along with Areola. Everyone has their own opinion and I'm not going to get into it. We have to be prepared as we were in the last three games. I'm not worried.
"Courtois wants to do his best and that's what it's all about. The second half was better and that's what I take away with me. In the first half, we could point the finger at Courtois, but we're all in it together, and I am the first to take criticism. That's how it is and I am responsible."
