Burnley boss Sean Dyche does not believe that being gay would negatively impact a footballer's career.
Many point to the fact that not a single Premier League player has come out regarding their sexuality as proof of football's backwards attitude towards homosexuality.
However, Dyche believes that times have changed and any such player would get a lot of support from the dressing room and coaching staffs.
"Does being gay mean you can't be a good footballer? No. So let's crack on," he told the Guardian.
"Have you ever thought they might not want you to have any idea? This thing about 'the next gay footballer'. Imagine the noise around that.
"They might not want it. You could not contain that information. All I am saying is that in my changing room, there would be no problem."
