Barcelona are in contact with former captain Carles Puyol about a return.
After Pep Segura's departure as general manager last week, Puyol is being offered the position by Barca, says Mundo Deportivo.
Puyol, after working as an assistant to former sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, left to form a management company with ex-Barca midfielder Ivan de la Pena.
Now he has an offer on the table to return and is currently considering it.
However, sources close to the former captain say his past experience alongside Zubizarreta, now in charge of Olympique Marseille, did jolt him and he's weighing up whether he wants such a responsibility.
