Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz has received a new contract offer.
Amid the split between the players and president Aurelio de Laurentiis, Mundo Deportivo says Ruiz has been offered new terms.
Tied to the Azzurri until 2023, De Laurentiis wants to secure the midfielder to 2025.
He also plans to insert a buyout clause in the agreement to the tune of 180m.
De Laurentiis is making the move knowing Real Madrid and Barcelona are both eager to take Ruiz back to Spain in 2020.
