An elderly man working as a traditional healer from Kuala Terengganu has entered a plea of not guilty after he was accused of sexually assaulting his female patient, a 31 year old woman.
According to the allegations, the elderly man is said to have committed this act at a residence from 8:00 PM to 8:45 PM on June 26th.
The accused now faces charges under Section 354 of the Penal Code, a statute that carries a range of penalties upon conviction. These penalties include imprisonment for up to 10 years, fines, corporal punishment, or any combination thereof.
Following the legal proceedings, the court decided to grant the accused bail, setting the amount at RM4,500 and requiring one surety.
