
Kota Kinabalu: Homegrown and award-winning property developer Jesselton International recently hosted Pinktober: Women’s Wellness Day at its Sales Gallery in Damai, a community initiative held in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event, part of the Group’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, aimed to raise awareness on breast cancer, encourage preventive health checks and promote overall wellness among the public.
Organised in collaboration with Kinabalu Pink Ribbon (KPR) and the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Blood Bank, the programme featured a blood donation drive, breast cancer awareness talk by Dr. Samantha Thien and an inspiring survivor sharing by Susana Kwan.
Participants also joined a guided breathing and stretching session led by Ms. Celeste Lo, co-founder of SOF Pilates Studios, followed by a mental health and stress management talk by Tracy Tay, highlighting the importance of balancing physical and emotional well-being.
The event included a DIY bracelet workshop by Bead Bead, self-check booth, free neck and shoulder massages provided by GLOW Body & Beauty Wellness and light refreshments, with proceeds and monetary donations collected in support of Kinabalu Pink Ribbon’s breast cancer education and patient care initiatives.
