Deputy Tourism, Arts, and Culture (Motac) Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, officiated the launch event during the "Motac Bersama Komuniti" programme in Bandar Ramai-Ramai on Saturday.
Also present were Karamunting Assemblyman Datuk George Hiew Vun Zin, Motac Secretary-General Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot, Tourism Malaysia Sabah Director Haryanty Abu Bakar, Stan President Chee Kim Teo, and local leaders.
Khairul emphasized that the directory brochure aims to encourage both domestic and international visitors to consider Sandakan for their holidays, offering a range of attractions, including stunning landscapes, wildlife, adventure activities, and local gastronomy.
He also highlighted Batu Sapi’s potential in community-based tourism, with homestay options on the island, which could serve as a new tourist attraction in Sandakan.
