Now that Songkran has passed and it’s a (Thai) new year, and a new you, it’s time to get back on the healthy-eating-train. Who makes the best salad in Bangkok? We tried and tested a bunch and made a list.
Long gone are the days when Sizzler was *the* place to get a salad. As trendy as coffee in paper cups on your morning run, takeaway salads have seen a bit of a makeover as well, as many office workers and health-conscious eaters have started to buy or order salads as their staple lunch. This has caused a range of salad bars to open across the city, especially in office areas, as the sad desk lunch sees a revamp to a trendy desk salad.
The Kardashians made shaking your salad cool, and the health benefits of this shaken food are undeniable. Packed with leafy greens and superfoods, many salad bars in Bangkok are transparent about their use of ingredients, listing out key nutritional information, as well as local sourcing techniques.
From gut-pleasing toppings like sauerkraut and kimchi, over to protein-packed variations with salmon and steak, here are some of the best salads you can find in Bangkok. If you’ve already completed your step count today, do no fear: all of these are available for delivery, too.

Jones’ Salad
Jones’ Salad is another widespread salad chain in Bangkok, found at many locations across the city, and recognisable by the man with the moustache as its mascot. Different to many of the other salad bars on our list, Jones’ Salad commonly serve their takeaway salads in a flat tray, allowing you to admire all the ingredients you selected, in a Size M or a Size L. Whilst the topping selection is relatively simple, there is a high level of customisation possible. There are also set salads created to suit a more Asian palate — including ‘Japanese Style’ and ‘Spicy Thai’ selections. They also recently launched smoothies.

SaladStop
Another Singaporean salad bar to land in Bangkok, SaladStop is one of the pioneers of the healthy restaurant chain model in Asia. The toppings and bowls are a little more on the bougie side here, with kale as a delicious substitute for lettuce, and truffle as a luxurious change for dressing. The chicken is air-fried and the pork prepared in a sous-vide machine, so you know you’re in healthy hands. Not only do they list out nutritional information, but they even let you know the carbon footprint of making your salad.
Highlights: The Howdy, Hail Caesar, and Tuna San (would be rude not to get a smoothie while you’re here, too)
Price range: THB 250-375/salad
Locations: Sathorn, Central Chidlom, Marché Thonglor, and Emsphere

Here you’ll find salads more tailored to Thai palates, whether it be a selection of spicier salads, or bowls that highlight local favourites like mackerel, crispy sea bass, or glass noodles. These days, Salad Factory serves more than just salad, though these remain a mainstay. The selection is on the simpler side, though there are around 200 dishes to choose from in the main menu. Salad Factory’s branches are located largely outside of central and downtown Bangkok, making it accessible to those living further out, too.

There’s also a good selection of nutrient-rich, from-scratch soups to try, as well as a few funky craft sodas to pair.
