I'm actually seeking for more good matcha places in KL, rather than recommend them, but here's my thoughts on matcha places I've visited.
I was never really a lover of Matcha, preferring rather much to stay in the coffee lane. Just not my preference, it tastes more like grass in a drink - but a simple ice cream store changed everything, and now I'm a matcha lover. So let's start from the beginning:
Yu Kiosoku, GMBB
While I was at GMBB, I stumbled upon Yu Kiosoku, which specialised in Japanese treats. They had a small kiosk open, for ordering matcha-treats including lattes, ice creams and daifuku (which unfortunately I couldn't try as its only offered on Fridays & weekends). Chose to order a matcha ice cream for below RM10, and it was the best matcha ice cream I've ever tasted until now - the flavour is crazy rich with a creamy texture, and they top the ice cream with ceremonial matcha.

Oh Cha Matcha
This is my usual go-to matcha place whenever I can, for it's huge range of options - there's lattes, soft serves, waffles, and a huge variety of matcha mixtures such as fruity or Malaysian gula melaka matcha. Taste-wise is good, better than the average standard you can get from major coffee outlets though I'm unsure of the matcha brand used. It's still rich & fragrant enough for a matcha lover like me to enjoy. I've tried a normal matcha latte & peach matcha latte, but they do have a cute teapot matcha which I've yet to try.

Niko Neko Matcha
While I don't have a photo, I tried their Hojicha Latte (RM14) once - and I understood why Niko Neko is so expensive, simply because the taste is just amazing. Simply no words to describe otherwise and trulty a top-tier matcha brand. They didn't have normal-grade matcha that day and only had ceremonial grade (RM25), which was a bit too heavy for my wallet, hence I did not try.
As I do not have Niko Neko Matcha outlets near me, it's a rare luxury - next time I do visit, I'll probably try whatever matcha they have available.

Super Matcha
Had to experience the hype all the way from South Korea - it was a slight disappointment. It was not bad per se, but for it's price point that's just a bit short of Niko Neko Matcha (around the RM16 mark), I expected a similar quality. It's more of a sweet matcha rather than the bitter flavour one usually expects, so if you have a sweeter flavour profile, Super Matcha is highly recommended.

ZUS Coffee
Randomly stumbled upon this gem while working on CNY, so this made it even better. My all-time favourite drink from ZUS is the Matcha Jasmine Latte - it's matcha made with jasmine tea, providing a fresh & pleasant fragrance. So so good as both the sweetness & fragrance balances out, giving you a warm feeling (even though it's iced). However, with ZUS's new matcha offerings lately, this seems to be off the menu.
(I've tried a similar drink in HWC, it's just plain bad so please don't try that)

And now, the WORST MATCHA AWARD goes to…
MUJI
Genuinely one of the worse matcha lattes I've ever tasted. When in Sunway Pyramid, it was either this or 108 Matcha Saro - again, wallet was feeling a bit heavy because online reviews read that the portion is quite small for the price point, and that MUJI was not bad as well. My expectations were just a decent matcha, where it's mixed in properly (no fine sand), sweet/bitter balanced and acceptable.
Apparently, that was very hard to achieve. Maybe it's a human error, but the matcha powder was so NOT MIXED IN that you could taste bits in your latte, effectively making you feel like drinking grass straight out of a blender. The taste profile is also confusing, I don't know if it's meant to be sweet or bitter, because I taste milk and bits more than anything. MUJI sells great quality products, but I've blacklisted their matcha forever.
