Chong emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, "This includes disclosing the identity of the minister involved and even suspending the driving licenses of the minister and the driver in order to demonstrate the Malaysia Madani unity government’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the government’s image." Such actions, he argues, are essential to uphold traffic safety and the sanctity of road users' lives.
He further condemned the reckless behavior displayed by the ministerial vehicle, asserting that it not only sets a deplorable example but also poses significant risks to other road users. "As Transport Minister, Anthony Loke must take this matter seriously and take stern action to show his determination to uphold traffic safety and the safety of road users," Chong insisted.

Chong questioned, "If the Transport Ministry (MOT) adopts an indifferent approach, what moral high ground does the unity government have in the future to call on the people to drive carefully or to enforce traffic rules?"
