A popular perk is disappearing on most Hawaii flights

  • Hawaiian Airlines will discontinue complimentary meals for Main Cabin passengers on most flights between Hawaii and the continental U.S. starting July 1.
  • The airline is launching a new pre-order dining program, allowing passengers to purchase meals ranging from up to 20 hours before departure.
  • Complimentary meals will continue to be offered for Main Cabin travelers on flights between Honolulu and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.
  • The new menu, created in partnership with Maui chef Sheldon Simeon, will feature dishes inspired by local Hawaiian flavors, with gluten-free and plant-based options available.
  • Members of the Huakaʻi by Hawaiian loyalty program, or those who join by June 24, will receive their first two pre-ordered meals free.
