Kota Kinabalu: Head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee admitted that it was a self-inflicted defeat as Sabah FC suffered a 2-3 loss to Selangor FC in the Super League tie at Likas Stadium on Saturday night.
It was the second defeat to the Red Giants following their 2-0 quarter-final win over Sabah FC in the FA Cup competition in July. The night started on a sour note for the Rhinos as they allowed the visitors to take a two-goal lead in a space of two minutes.
