It powers the global economy through tourism and logistics while fostering high-skill employment in software development and engineering. Its significance lies in accelerating innovation, strengthening defense capabilities, and enabling crucial global communications. My 15 years of experience with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has taught me the historical context about the Wright brothers successful flight in 1903 marked the beginning of a new age, leading to the development of commercial aviation & creation of a global airline network. In the mid-20th century saw a surge in technological advancements with the advent of jet engines, enabling faster and more efficient air travel. The founding & Committee members of MyAeroSatu who had served the airlines and airport sectors, decided to share their expertise & experiences in a series of dialogues with aerospace students. To add value, we have also invited relevant professionals and academicians for speaking engagements with students commencing from 25th April. We want students to be knowledgeable that aerospace industry is an important moment in its transformative era.
As HRD practitioner, I would like to impress upon our students the aerospace industry requires a highly skilled workforce, including engineers, technicians and scientists. As technology advances, there is a growing need for professionals with expertise in emerging fields such as AI, robotics, advance materials. My team wishes to support the government & universities in addressing the skills gap & fostering talent development for sustaining the industry growth.
