Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has defended VAR after Sunday's goalless draw with Wolves.

Video technology made its debut in the Premier League this weekend and it won a point for the Foxes after Wolves were denied a goal at the King Power.

But Rodgers disagrees with counterpart Nuno, who criticised the celebration from home supporters as ruining the game.

"I said to some of the guys before, I'm a huge fan of VAR, I thought it worked really well for us," he said.

"No, listen, the rules are there, obviously there's emotion in it and it's a different emotion because they think they have scored, but I think the rules are pretty clear.

"It was unfortunate for them, it benefited us because it shifted the momentum for us and we were able to get a foothold in the game.

"My feeling of VAR is what it always is. It's going to work for you some weeks and then work against you.

"It worked for us today and in other weeks, maybe it will go against us."

On Nuno's comments, Rodgers added: "I don't think it killed the contest or the atmosphere.

"The supporters are very passionate in this country and it will add something.

"It's frustrating if you score and there's a wait to be told it's not a goal.

"I think that's the frustration, but I thought it was dealt with fairly well and overall, it's a part of the game now which will require adjustment and (we will) have to adapt to but I'm sure that time will come down."
