Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone praised Angel Correa for their 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
Simeone feels that the win deserved even more credit due to the busy schedule that proceeded the encounter.
"It was [a big win] because we have played three tremendous matches. Against Valencia, then the Champions League.
"And today, three days after we are back playing with the absences of Joao [Felix], [Stefan] Savic and [Jose] Gimenez.
Correa stepped in and had an impressive match up front, providing Saul and Alvaro Morata with assists for their goals.
Simeone added: "He has always been a striker.
"We always put him in a position where he doesn't feel comfortable but he puts in a great effort.
"His natural position is a striker. In that position he can better express his dribbling, his power, his turns, like the one for the first goal. He is a player who has done very well."
