Aston Villa remain hopeful of re-signing Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe.
The newly promoted Midlands side aim to secure another loan spell for the defender, according to the Telegraph.
The central defender has recently put pen to paper on a new deal at Old Trafford, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could yet decide to loan the player to Villa Park to gain Premier League experience.
Villa are prepared to play a waiting game for the 21-year-old and will offer him another loan move if United agree to send him out again.
Villa have also held talks with former Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, who is available on a free transfer, but a move is not thought to be close at this stage.
