There will be no more Lamps heard in the Chelsea dressing room while Frank Lampard is manager of the club.

The much-loved former Blues midfielder has ditched his famous nickname after succeeding Maurizio Sarri as manager, according to captain Cesar Azpilicueta, who played alongside the Englishman.

Asked what Lampard is called by the players, Azpilicueta said: "Now he is the boss, the manager.

"Yes, of course he was called Lamps. I shared several years with him in the dressing room and I enjoyed the time with him as a team-mate.

"Now the next stage for him is a manager and he is our boss and we follow him."
