Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is making a 15million swoop for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer.
With Harry Maguire finally landing his dream 80m move to Manchester United, the Foxes now face a race to boost their central defensive options, says the Mirror.
The transfer window shuts this Thursday and, in addition to Brighton target Lewis Dunk, ex-Celtic chief Rodgers wants to sign Ajer, 22, before then.
Rodgers believes the 6ft 5in Norway international has the potential to be a long-term successor to Maguire.
Ajer joined the Hoops five months before Rodgers assumed the hot-seat at Celtic Park and spent 2017-18 on loan at Kilmarnock.
