MELAKA: Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh will face a straight fight to defend his Tanjung Bidara state seat in the 16th Melaka state election on Nov 14.

The Melaka Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman will go up against Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Masjid Tanah pro-tem secretary Mohd Yunazri Mustamiri, who is contesting under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) banner.

Tanjung Bidara returning officer Datuk Saifuddin Abdul Karim announced the candidates after nominations closed at 10am today at Dewan Datuk Kapt (B) Hj Ab Karim, Kompleks Japerun Tanjung Bidara.
