Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) was among the organizations commended by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) for its exemplary contribution to the region’s energy sector, particularly on its cooperation on nuclear energy technologies, information sharing, and capacity building.
To recall, AboitizPower signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. in Gyeongju, South Korea last July to explore the potential applicability of nuclear energy technologies in the Philippines, including conducting joint pre-feasibility studies.
