AC Milan chief Paolo Maldini admits Chelsea made an offer for Rafael Leao this summer.
There was speculation in the final days of the summer market that Chelsea had offered €100m for Leao.
And Maldini confirmed to Mediaset: "He knows that the solution to becoming even stronger is to stay with us.
"The intention is to do great things and grow with him.
"An official written Chelsea bid has not arrived. But informally, yes. Of course we snubbed it."
