AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli was pleased with his new signings in defeat to Real Madrid today.

Real won 3-2 in Los Angeles after the Rossoneri's initial 2-0 lead via Fikayo Tomori and Luka Romero goals, was pegged back by two goals from Fede Valverde and one from Vinicius Jr.

Pioli said, "I liked Milan a lot. Strong players have arrived: Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, I like how they are fitting in. They will allow us to play even more technical, even more offensive football.

"After 10 days I saw interesting things, for example how we tried to move the ball, the personality. What will change from last year? We occupy different positions but the principles of play are the same."

On Romero, he said: "He came on very well. Not just for the goal."

Pioli also spoke of new signing Noah Okafor.

"He's a striker who can play in multiple positions, he's young but has already shown his worth. He has shots, speed, one-on-one, for me he can play as a striker or as a left winger. However, I'll give a true opinion only when I coach him."
