AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has insisted last season's title triumph cannot be a one-off.
Pioli received honorary citizenship at Noceto on Monday morning.
“I am proud to receive this recognition that makes me even closer to my territory and city," said Pioli.
“I can only be happy with the many compliments received. I share them with the club and a group of players who have always given their best. They've always believed in them, in their qualities and their coach.
“The team hold on in difficult moments, giving us great satisfaction. For this reason, the title must be a starting point. We know we accomplished something important, especially for a group of fans that hadn't seen their team win for a long time."
