AC Milan made an attempt for Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile during the week.
The French defender was a loan target for the Rossonero, but a deal couldn't be struck before Thursday's transfer deadline fell.
Sky Italia's Gianluca di Marzio is reporting: Milan had an agreement with the Chelsea defender.
"But he then started playing for Chelsea who decided they didn't want to sell him."
Badiashile is in his second season at Chelsea after joining from AS Monaco.
