AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali admits they let themselves down in defeat at Champions League opponents Chelsea.
Milan were swept away 3-0 by Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Tonali later said: "It is difficult to analyse individual incidents, it was overall simply not a Milan performance.
“We need to use this experience and learn from it, as an example for so many other matches.
"Chelsea started with an extra gear compared to us and it was visible from the start."
After the result, their Champions League group stands as RB Salzburg on five points, Milan and Chelsea four, then Dinamo Zagreb three.
