Where filmmaking is concerned, there are some names whose works can be identified by a strong, clear artistic direction. And this is especially the case with silver screen auteur, Tim Burton, who is most beloved for his works that dabble in the dark, often macabre overtones of gothic fantasy.

For an entire generation of audiences, we have come to associate his names with some of the most memorable films to have graced cinema marquees, among them including Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride, 1989’s Batman starring Michael Keaton, and even the 2005 iteration of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka.

But for most newcomers to the Tim Burton universe, you may be most familiar with his work as director of the Netflix smash-hit series, Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the titular Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family.
